Hi Weather Watchers!

A Large pasture/wooded area Fire in Southeast Rice County, East of Sterling and North of Hutchinson was caught on Radar for close to 4 hours this afternoon.

Rice County Emergency Mgmt says the Fire is now under control thanks to the number of units that assisted from several area counties. Strong NW winds and low humidities made for ripe conditions. Those conditions will be present again tomorrow so please DONT THROW CIGARETTES OUT OR DO ANY OUTSIDE BURNING IN CENTRAL KANSAS.

Another Fire was reported in Harper County-we were able to catch it on radar as well. It to appears to be out at this time.
