Hello Weather Watchers!

We are still anticipating  a storm this weekend that will impact the Holiday weekend travel.

The models have slowed it down some and the track has changed some-there is still some discrepancy as to the exact track of the system-

Yesterday we were seeing historic snowfall potential for Western sections of the State- the overnight models have backed off on the 20-30″ snowfalls  but we still are very concerned AS THIS SYSTEM ISNT EVEN ONSHORE UNTIL LATER TODAY. Once it’s onshore it can be sampled and provide us with better detail.

Here is the European model that came out at 1am this morning

This shows significant snowfall over the Western 2/3rds of the State….WILL IT VERIFY??

Do not get tunnel vision as we still have 3 days where this system could move 100 miles North or South and this storm would look TOTALLY different.

In this snowfall model the gray/black colors represent around 12 or so inches- the pinks and yellows 6+ and the green around 4 inches.

Based on this model -SW and South Central areas could see the heaviest snowfall totals-

AGAIN, DO NOT TAKE THIS MODEL AS GOSPEL – We need until tomorrow morning/afternoon to pin down the potential totals for this storm!
