Hello Weather Watchers!!

The Vorticity Max that sparked the Thunderstorms this afternoon was what was supposed to occur the last few days.

Several of you saw .50 -1.50 this afternoon in a matter of a few minutes. There are additional chances tonight as well as tomorrow when a cold front approaches. Heavy rain will again be the big threat.

The remnants of Carlos look to get caught up to our East and move around the area of High Pressure –

After the front moves through our next chances of rain return next weekend…the main threat again being Heavy rainfall.

As storms were moving through today some of you probably saw some wall clouds-and maybe a funnel as we had good low level instability and influence from the Vorticity.

I shot these Wall clouds in Western Reno County- 4th and Sterling Rd.

You can see the green pixel which corresponds to the Wall cloud above.
