Hello Weather Watchers!

Did you feel the Cold front today??

We caught it moving through South Central Kansas around 5:00 on radar….

We also noticed a dry line attached to an area of Low pressure in the Texas Panhandle/Southeast Colorado.

You can see the different air masses by reviewing the Regional Conditions around 5-5:30.

The biggest story of the rest of this week will be the increasing WILD FIRE THREAT….Fri-Sat-Sun….

Areawide, winds will be increasing from the South and moisture levels will be decreasing significantly along a sharpening dry-line that will be developing by Sunday over Central KS.

Additionally Sunday there is a CHANCE of THUNDERSTORMS from the US281 corridor East…..

We will keep you posted – but PLEASE be vigilant ????????????Fri-Sun ????????????

We are VERY concerned with what could be an arduous FIRE SEASON here in the Central US- “nothing like we have ever seen” according to some US Forestry officials.

Last year was something many Kansans have never seen. This year could be as bad or worse than last year based on current assessments.

As always, we will keep you posted.
