Good afternoon Weather Watchers!

A stratus deck of low clouds hung tough over Central KS today keeping temps in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

A Lee trough has begun to develop in East Central CO which will just continue to increase in strength- you will be able to tell as SW winds start cranking tonight through Wednesday. This will bring warm air Northeastward, with temps 80-85 Tues-Wed.

The image above shows a STRONG 500mb Low in the desert SW that will slowly make its way toward the Sunflower State by midweek bringing with it chances of scattered Thunderstorms beginning Wednesday- with increasing chances Fri into Sat.

Skies are finally beginning to become partly cloudy as the stratus clears out- this will not affect temps today as we have passed our max heating period.

We will update you tomorrow…
