The surface storm still continues to develop in Eastern Texas.

The upper level Low has been responsible for a SIGNIFICANT BLIZZARD in Eastern New Mexico were roads are closed and people are stranded in vehicles on interstates. The National Guard has been activated.

The SURFACE low will develop and move North as we described this morning- Here is where it will be at around 9pm it is the 1000mb circle in SE OK

SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES overnight into Monday

Here is a map that we made that will give you an idea of what to expect.

Here is the map that shows our thoughts on accumulations.
For those of you in Western sections of the State where the system will not be as intense as initially forecast, that is because the Low is taking a track around 50 miles further East.

As the surface Low begins to intensify the winds will also pick up causing blowing and drifting.

Here is the Regional Threat map.
