Good Sunday morning Weather Watchers!

Our active weather pattern got underway last night in North Central Kansas and will continue to expand to other areas.

Temperatures will be cooler but those with breathing issues will notice the VERY HIGH humidities as rich Gulf moisture streams North.

We are expecting numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms over the next 5 to 6 days.

The exact location of where these “training” thunderstorms is hard to pinpoint until they develop so the precipitation accumulation forecast maps are NOT gospel. They all indicate that heavy rains are LIKELY over the next several days until a Cool front moves through and pushes out this very moist airmass that we will be entrenched with over the next 5-7 days.

2″-6″+ look very possible in some areas.

SEVERE POTENTIAL IS FAIRLY LOW after today…

Here is the rainfall estimated totals from last nights rain event. Over 4 inches in Western Russell County Northeast to West of Belleville where 2″ was reported.

Flood Watches are in effect for those areas TODAY.
