Hello Weather Watchers….

The Surface Low looks like it will take a more Northerly Track :

Here are our thoughts based on CURRENT MODELS!

We still will continue to CLOSELY WATCH that Low as it tracks across the area tomorrow!

Here are the CURRENT THREATS:

We are guessing what the Wichita office will be issuing- that is why we circled the counties in their forecast area…

BLIZZARD WARNING IN RED…,

What to expect in the areas in RED

Snowfall 6″-10″

NNW Winds 35mph, gusting to 60mph or STRONGER!

The BLIZZARD will be on the WEST/NORTHWEST of the LOW.

On the East side of the Blizzard Warning – expect 4″-6″ with gust to 45mph

This system will be a quick mover!

The Precip should exit Central KS by 6PM, NE Kansas by 9PM..

VERY STRONG WINDS will exist UNTIL AFTER SUNDOWN.

Winds will decrease as the pressure gradient decreases.

If you are traveling…RETHINK YOUR TRAVEL PLANS ANYWHERE IN THE AREAS OF RED!!

Travel will be EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

Areas from Pratt to Hutch to Marion to Manhattan will be on the EDGE of this SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM… If the track makes a SLIGHT TURN you could experience MORE EXTREME WINTER WEATHER. ( you will likely experience morning Thunderstorms and Strong winds as the Storm tracks close by )

We will update you later….
