WINTER STORM WARNING FOR FAR NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS

  
Taking a look at radar and satellite data, it appears that the axis of the system is further North than models had depicted- that’s why the NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning…

I used the Hastings radar to identify where the axis is- based on its current location- areas to the South look to be out of the woods from additional significant precipitation. Maybe a flurry or two is all we are anticipating in far South Central KS. The greatest Snow totals have been along and North of I-70  in North Central KS. The system will rotate around its axis in a counterclockwise direction. With the axis being much further North than models predicted-areas South of Hwy 56 and West of K-15 should not see much if any more wintry Precip.
