Let’s look at Regional threats:

A STRONG AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BE MOVING SLOWLY ACROSS NEBRASKA FRI INTO SAT

1-2″ NW KANSAS, 2-6″ Southern Nebraska, 6-10″ North of Hwy 2, 10-15″ Central SD with Winds gusting to 50mph causing Whiteout and BLIZZARD Conditions Friday

On the WARM SIDE of this storm Dewpoints will be close to 60° – The atmosphere will be CAPPED as the front moves through Central KS. There is a chance of SEVERE STORMS EAST OF THE US75 CORRIDOR-Topeka South to Tulsa. More significant severe Storms are likely from Tulsa South to Dallas around 4PM.

The greatest Tornado threat appears to be from Joplin to the Dallas Metro- THIS AREA COULD SHIFT EAST OR WEST 50 Miles – so please stay tuned.

EXTREME FIRE RISK OVER THE SOUTHWESTERN 3/4ths of Kansas THURS & FRI

The pattern should be shifting to above normal temps with a few Thunderstorm chances in the area over the next 7-14 days… let’s see how these systems play out….
