Major Flooding is occurring along Wildcat creek in Manhattan and Minor Flooding is occurring along other rivers.

Water rescues were occurring earlier from apartment along the Creek.

Other flooding is occurring in different parts of Kansas.

The Red colors represent 4″-6″ totals. Yellows are 3″, Greens are 2″ and Blue is up to 1″.

More rain will develop as a piece of energy move out into the Plains.

Widespread Thunderstorms with heavy rain will develop after 3pm today and become more numerous into the evening and overnight as the low-level Jet kicks in.

Then another front approaches from the North Tues night:

It will stall just South if I-70 providing additional chances for heavy rain through Friday AM.

One complicating factor is Tropical Storm Gordon that has developed.

The current track bring MORE deep tropical moisture towards our region later this week. This could certainly add to flooding issues and is something we will have to watch.
