Good evening everyone the cool front has entered NW Kansas – let’s look:

It will continue to move SE slowly before it washes out…

It will provide us a break from the heat but not the intense humidity.

We have chances of rain late Tues afternoon and evening from NW KS into Central KS- here is our thinking on timing:

Wed we could see highs only in the upper 70s to low 80s over Central KS.

We could see an MCS develop Friday night – AGAIN- this is a potential – cannot guarantee the exact track – so just know there is a chance of a complex of storms Friday night into Sat AM:

The track is something we will track for you.

We warm back up this weekend before more chances of Thunderstorms as another front moves SE across the State…

These fronts are very difficult to track which is why we have waited so long for an update.

This time of year we have very weak upper flow so it’s very difficult to forecast the when and where.

Hopefully this helps some of you plan your week into the weekend.

Our confidence into the weekend is LOW, so please stay tuned.

Tonight’s storm damage in Hutchinson was likely caused by a microburst. It affected a small area with very STRONG WINDS- likely 70-80 mph winds based on the damage we viewed tonight.

Large trees down – Large Transmission line snapped in 1/2

This was a picture of the storm approaching from the South at 5:45pm. Thank you to Becky Barnes for this wonderful image.

Here are some damage pictures:

We will keep you posted as this front continues to track Southeast.
