Good evening Weather Watchers!

Here is the current advisories for tonight:

Will this be the last freeze??

We begin to warm up Tuesday into Thursday when temperatures will climb into the 70s.

Breezy conditions return Thursday and last until next Monday as a SLOW MOVING STORM SYSTEM approaches from the Southwest.

Here is the vorticity as it approaches from the West.

It slows down as a Strong Ridge develops over the upper Midwest blocking it’s quick movement North and East. That can be seen in the below images.
As you can tell by the above images the storms just spins counterclockwise over the Central US drawing moisture North.

This will allow for several rounds of showers and Thunderstorms Friday-Tuesday morning.

Here what models are still forcasting for precipitation amounts.

After this system moves out of the area another storm takes aim on the Central US around the 22nd and 23rd.

The BIG question is…will these storms verify. We think they will. This storm is coming out of the Southwest which was the case when we received significant precipitation before Thanksgiving and again before Christmas, in mid December.

Questions, please ask.

Stay warm and cover your sensitive vegetation tonight as High pressure settles right over Central KS
