Hi Weather Watchers!

The jet stream is very amplified over the Eastern half of the country. Freeze warnings and Frost advisories ( in light blue ) are numerous:

The Thunderstorms we have been anticipating all week along a cold front Sunday night into Monday look to be further Southeast than we were thinking.

The cold front is a little more progressive than we thought and moisture return looks meager. Thunderstorms should be a good bet along and South of 160 and East of I-135, an area we were in a couple of weeks ago. The area that has seen much more moisture than the rest of the State.

Models are showing chances of Thunderstorms the latter half of the month but we are not totally sold on that wetter solution.

The drought numbers came out yesterday and showed Moderate drought expanding.

The Yellow indicated abnormally dry and the Beige indicates Moderate drought.

Let’s follow the system this weekend and see how it verifies.

There are SLIGHT chances for Severe Weather Sunday night:

We are still seeing a pattern change as we discussed earlier this week.

Ladtly, the European model is very bullish on a strong storm system next weekend providing some decent moisture – something we will be watching.

 We will keep you posted….
Have a great day Saturday as temps increase and winds begin to increase.
