Good morning Weather Watchers!

What a messy forecast for Thanksgiving through the first part of the weekend as the Storm system appears to be slowing down!

Let take a look at the forecast time frame- The orange represents light freezing rain which is going to cause the majority of our travel troubles Thanksgiving through the weekend….even if it is freezing drizzle…IT DOESNT TAKE MUCH TO CAUSE PROBLEMS!!

We are most concerned about the 7pm Thanksgiving evening to the 12pm Friday time frame for the greatest icing potential. The area circled in RED needs to be watched for Ice Accumulation of up to.25″ Icing amounts of up to .25″ in conjunction of 30mph North winds could cause tree damage and POWER ISSUES…if this forecast verifies…

We are not trying to hype anything- we just want you to be prepared…

As you can see above – it doesn’t take much freezing precip to cause Travel Troubles.

The system appears to be slowing some which will allow precipitation to continue end from West to East Saturday night into Sunday.

The Southeast 1/2 of the State looks to have a nice soaker beginning overnight tonight.

We will provide you with a update later this afternoon.
