Good evening Weather Watchers!!

We hit 100 in Hutchinson and Wichita late this afternoon! First time Wivhita has seen 100 this year.

As we have been forecasting for several weeks, we know the pattern is transitioning – Heat first followed by somewhat cooler and wetter pattern here in the Central Plains. The wet pattern will set upon between the area of High pressure to our WSW and the trough to our East.

It sandwiches us in the middle with pieces of energy moving through the Northwest flow.

This was not very apparent in the models last week but they look to be coming around to this solution.

The rainfall forecast for Thurs-Mon show a nice swath of 1-3″ for the Eastern 2/3rds of the State.

July 4th won’t be a rain out but just in case have your fireworks covered that evening.

The pattern try’s to return to a Strong Ridge building in over the Western half of the U.S.- WE ARENT BUYING IT! We might see some ups and downs- but not expecting a significant heat wave until sometime in August…

Have a GREAT NIGHT Weather Watchers!!
