It’s gonna get HOT…Heat Advisories likely next week…
Hello Weather Watchers!!
Many of our Farmers are wanting some moisture and we aren’t seeing any on the horizon for a while as the dog days of summer has us in its grip!!
The jet stream is very far North with High Pressure dominating our weather here across the Southwest US.
This will continue for the next week with increasing humidities and temperatures which will meet the criteria for HEAT ADVISORY’S being issued as indices get above the 105+ mark beginning as soon as Sunday or Monday.
We see a “ripple” in the mid levels of the atmosphere which could bring about a couple overnight Thunderstorm complexes next Monday night and Tuesday night- the CONFIDENCE of this occurring is LOW at this point…We will watch this and keep you posted…
This ridge in the SW US breaks down this weekend and then builds back in mid week next week right on top of the Sunflower State.
Prepare for increasingly HOT & HUMID Conditions across the Central Plains over the next 7-10 days….
** IF YOU ARE HEADED TOWARDS NEW ORLEANS FOR VACATION OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS….PLEASE KNOW THAT A DEVELOPING TROPICAL SYSTEM/HURRICANE WILL BE AFFECTING THE MID SOUTH… DEADLY FLASH FLOODING FROM VERY HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY. PLEASE MAKE ALTERNATE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS….
