Hi Weather Watchers!

A cloudy cooler day with increasing chances for rainfall from West to East.

Here is current radar:

We have seen some very nice rainfall totals in SW Kansas in the last 24 hours.

Here is the radar indicated totals. The yellows represent 2″ with orange colors 2.5″-3″

Let’s look at the surface maps and what features we see around 1pm today- an area of Low pressure at the surface is sitting over West Central KS with a warm front lifting North – this will allow for Warm air advection( we can tell this is occurring by watching dewpoints increase from South to North.

Here is the next forecast period -4pm this afternoon…The dark green indicates steady rainfall-notice that the rain shield is moving slowly East.

This is 7am Friday showing the heaviest rain shield over far Eastern sections of the State.

I think it has overdone the left over light rain – I think we will see some clouds Friday giving way to a nice day.

The weekend will be a perfect Fall weekend. Great for yard work or to attend a Halloween party. Temps in the 60s.

Chances of rain return midweek with cooler temps late week.

Have a great day-
