LATE NIGHT SEVERE WEATHER WREAKS HAVOC OVER LARGE PART OF SUNFLOWER STATE
Good morning Weather Watchers!
As of the time of this post, close to 35,000 Westar customers were still without power, which doesn’t include Electric cooperative customers in rural areas. Westar has said some customers will not see power restored until Sunday possibly Monday.

This is a Segdewick County EMS Station destroyed by CONFIRMED 89MPH winds.
A home in Butler County sustained significant damage during the Severe event.
A mobile home completely destroyed by the strong winds in Wichita.
Ping Ping ball sized hail caused significant damage in Stafford, Rice and parts of Barton County.
**The largest hail reported last night was in Independence KS where Grapefruit size hail (4″ diameter) was reported around 4am.
Schools in Wichita and surrounding areas are closed today as downed power lines were a real threat all over the City.
