Good morning Weather Watchers!

Yesterday’s event brought almost 7 inches of Snow to parts of the KC Metro area. Hutchinson received a coating of sleet early yesterday and then a Trace of Snow as the back side of the system moved through.

What did your experience?

As we anticipated last night a Winter Weather Advisory was issued for parts of Kansas.

Here is the set-up as of noon today:

Precip should begin to fall around noon or after and will be increase throughout the day into the evening- we are expecting LIGHT AMOUNTS.

Roadways could become slick and hazardous – AGAIN, THIS WILL NOT BE A BIG SYSTEM…BUT WE ALL STILL NEED TO DRIVE SAFELY AS IT DOESN’T TAKE MUCH BUT A SMALL PATCH OF ICE TO LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR VEHICLE…

Here are the current conditions across the region:

Freezing Fog has been an issue in parts of SW KS this AM.

The = sign on the map above indicates fog. The number in front of the = sign indicates the visibility.

Stay warm, drive safe and have a good day!

We will look forward into next weeks systems later this afternoon.
