An approaching Cold front with a developing Low in NW Kansas will provide the trigger for Thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening.


The better dynamics will be in the areas in Yellow – Storms should form in Eastern NE and back build into Kansas along the front.

Here is what we are thinking the radar should look like around 6pm according to models.

The stronger storms this evening will have the potentional to produce hail up to quarter size, winds to 60mph. We ARE NOT anticipating any Tornadic storms. Rain totals will unfortunately be lighter in Central parts of the State with Higher amounts North and East.
