March is coming in Cold and Wet…

Normal Temperatures this time of year are Highs in the 50s and Lows in the 30s.

A quick moving system will move through late Fri night into Sat morning:

Not expecting much Precip: around 1/10th to 1/4 of an inch. The higher amounts the further East you are.

SATURDAY temps will range from 60s Southeast of the Turnpike to the Mid 30s in Northwest KS.

Central Kansas should reach the mid 40s North to mid 50s South.

SUNDAY expect temps in the 40s Statewide.

HEAVY RAIN EVENT WITH POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

Soil conditions are very moist and with much of the ground still frozen runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding.

Here is what models are thinking:

Instability moves into Central Kansas Tuesday which is when the heaviest rain is anticipated with Thunderstorms- NO SEVERE WEATHER ANTICIPATED –

This is the forecast tongue of instability beginning from Mid-afternoon Tuesday through Tuesday evening mainly over Central areas.
