Good morning Weather Watchers!

The jet stream has retreated and we will be under the influence of a weak split flow regime the next 3 days. An area of Low pressure will slowly move East out of the desert Southwest.

It has no upper level support which means no Severe Storms are anticipated. It will draw some Gulf moisture into the region making for higher than average Precipital Water values- i.e. Heavy rain producing storms are possible TONIGHT through Thursday night- but nothing extreme like we experienced last month.

After this piece of energy clears the areas by Friday evening a STRONG COLD FRONT will move across the area Sunday….This will provide us with Spring like temperatures! Highs in the Upper 60s to Mid 70s across many areas of the State before another reinforcing Cold front moves through Tuesday allowing for continued below normal temps for most of next week and forcing the typical very moist June Dewpoints South of the area… Overnight lows in the low to mid 50s are LIKELY!

Monday- Highs in the 60s East to Lower 70s West!!

Tuesday: Mid 70s Statewide

Wednesday: A reinforcing shot of Cooler air!

Below Normal Temps continue most of next week and into the latter half of the month based on longer range forecasting.

We will provide a more detailed forecast later this afternoon.
