Good morning Weather Watchers!

The HEAT is on today with Highs approaching 100 in Central KS, 90s elsewhere.

Severe Thunderstorms will form in Western KS this afternoon with Large Hail the main threat- they will move East through the evening and loose their severe characteristics but become efficient RAINFALL producers.

This will repeat Thursday and the rain and Thunderstorms will continue during the day and night Friday and Saturday and possibly into Sunday.

The Thunderstorms become nocturnal events Monday or Tuesday and continue through possibly next Thursday- although confidence in the forecast becomes low Tues-Thursday of next week.

Severe Weather is possible in areas through the weekend- with hail and strong winds being the main threat.

Here are the models current thoughts on rainfall totals through Monday night/Tuesday AM.

3-5″ seems to be a safe forecast with higher amounts possible.

PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
