Hello Weather Watchers!

Let’s take a look at what we this will occur this evening….

Here is the set-up:

A strong Cold front is moving from NW KS to the East and Southeast.

Supercell Storms should begin to form in the next hour or two over Western & NW Kansas and then move/develop East between the Hwy 36 corridor and with side of the I-70 corridor- possibly as far South as US56- time will tell….

The initial storms will have the potential to produce VERY LARGE HAIL and TORRENTIAL RAINFALL.

The storms will congeal into a Large complex with the potential for VERY STRONG DAMAGING WINDS, in excess of 70+mph!!

Here is the current radar showing the Cold front moving into NW KS.

As seen above – the storms will form and move East then dive South and affect areas along or just East/West of the I-135 corridor.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been issued until 1PM FRIDAY…

A Severe T-Storm Watch is in effect for NW KS and will LIKELY be expanded EAST as the evening progresses.

Rainfall around 1-3″ is likely in the areas where the Watch in in effect.

ADDITIONAL STORMS ARE LIKELY ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY.
