Hello Weather Watchers…The SPC has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until Midnight tonight for most of Central KANSAS… here is the outline:

These storms are forming along and South of a stalled boundary:

The upper level winds are out of the NW around 30-40kts.

A weak low level jet should kick in after 7 that may enhance a few of these “Mini Supercell” type storms.

Large Hail and winds gusting to 65 are the MAIN threat.

The hail report was West of Great Bend in Rush County.
