Well…..most every forecaster I know expected the surface moisture increase giving us our threat for SIGNIFICANT SEVERE Weather-

It appears the Storms that occurred in OK and TX last evening have pushed the High Octance moisture needed for Significant Long track Tornadoes further South with the return of that moisture questionable.

HOWEVER- due to the powerful nature of this Storm -Tornadoes/Large hail are still possible!!

An initial round of storms is approaching SW Kansas- those could be Strong to Severe- this morning but the more significant storms should fire later today.

We still have potential for Tornadoes/Large Hail beginning in Western KS spreading East late afternoon making it into Central/South Central KS by 6-8 pm time frame. Here is what the NWS in Wichita is thinking…

I do however believe we can breathe a sigh of relief that the Significant Tornado threat for long track tornadoes- has declined .

A more detailed update around 8am after the SPC updates their Outlook…
AGAIN- do not let down your guard down-
