Good early evening Weather Watchers!

We are anticipating SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS Tuesday afternoon in late evening across the Eastern 2/3rds of the State.

ALL MODES OF SEVERE WEATHER ARE POSSIBLE…GOLF BALL AND LARGER HAIL…70+mph WINDS…A FEW TORNADOES plus TORRENTIAL RAINFALL

TONIGHT: Storms will move EAST off of the Colorado front range… These storms will have enough energy to work with to make it to Central Kansas…

TOMORROW AM: Thunderstorms will likely fester across Central KS throughout the AM..

TUESDAY AFTERNOON: An upper level piece of energy that will cause WIND SHEAR strong enough to cause intensification and an increase in coverage of the ongoing storms. The atmosphere will be VERY UNSTABLE with 4000-5000 j/kg of CAPE available… THAT IS EXTREME INSTABILITY!

THE STORMS WILL INTENSIFY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON CAUSING LARGE HAIL AND THE “POTENTIAL” OF A FEW TORNADOES as well as HEAVY, HEAVY RAIN.

You will notice that in all the Simulations above Rainfall, some heavy continues for 8-12 hours.

We could see a FLOOD WATCH ISSUED overnight tonight as the ground is still extremely saturated.

Here is the current SPC threat:

We will likely see an ENHANCED Threat for Central KS into NorthCentral OK by tomorrow mornings update.

Another round of fairly Strong to Severe Storms are possible on Saturday…
