Notice the counterclockwise flow around the piece of energy in Central OK?

The above was around 11AM…

Here is the current Radar with arrows depicting what direction the Showers are moving…

Flooding with stalled vehicles and water rescues have been reported across Central OK this morning.

The Low is cut-off from the main flow so it is meandering with nothing to push it along very fast which is why portions of OK and SE KS will see heavy rainfall and additional flooding.

500 mb flow:

Here are the latest Flash Flood Watches/Warnings:

The WATCH remains in effect until 7 AM Friday morning.

A Cold front is still scheduled to move through Saturday night into Sunday it will kick this system out of here….There will be SLIGHT chances for non-Severe Thunderstorms for areas WEST of I-135 corridor Saturday night-Sunday afternoon if we can get enough moisture return.

After the cool front moves through Sunday expect BELOW normal temps in the Low to Mid 70s for Highs and Lows in the mid 50s…..Normal temps this time of years are mid 80s for Highs and mid 60s for Lows.

We should return to near normal late next week with chances of night-time or nocturnal Thunderstorms.

Have questions- please ask!!

Have a great day!
