The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the Severe Threat tomorrow  from Slight to Enhanced.

As the Storms initiate the areas that need a “HEADS UP”  include what we had thought from the beginning – along US281 — Russell to Great Bend to Pratt to Medicine Lodge.

Storms should form in an isolated scattered mode along a Dryline very close to US281 and move ENE

Locations EAST of US281, in the black hatched areas need to pay close attention to the Weather conditions  from 2pm- 8pm

The black hatched areas include Hutchinson, McPherson, Wichita, Marion, Eldorado, Emporia, Ark City, Winfield, Independence, Parsons, Chanute and Coffeyville.

As we have discussed all modes of Severe Weather are possible Wednesday. Hail up to baseball size, Tornadoes greater than EF2, and 75mph Thunderstorm winds.

Initiation looks to be around 3-4pm- typical Maximum heating of the day. We have a piece of jet energy that moves in from New Mexico late afternoon that will enhance storms

We will update you as needed…
