What a Weather week we have had!!

Our rainfall forecast we posted 5 days out VERIFIED….We hate when we are right when it’s costs our readers and followers time and money…

The good news….THE DROUGHT IS OVER!!

Here are the rain totals from the NWS for the last 72hrs….

We had 5-6 days of rain depending on where you lived.

We have total rainfall reports of around 8-10″ in Central KS- from Wed night through Tuesday (6 days)

We have 2 more quick moving systems. One, Thursday night into Friday followed by a Strong Cold front Sat night into Sunday.

At this time we are expecting HARD FREEZES Sunday night after the cold front moves through with chances of Snow Sunday

If you remember, we didn’t have a hard freeze in parts of Southern KS until Mid November the last couple years. At our Hutchinson office we recorded our first freeze November 6th of last year and November 19th in 2016- it warmed back up in 2016 as we had Severe storms on Christmas in 2016 with highs in the low 70s.

This years pattern looks much different….time will tell.

Here are tonight’s Regional threats…

River and Creek flooding are still concerns….so make sure you are aware of the levels in your area:

Have a good evening everyone!
