Good morning Weather Watchers..

Some of you in East Central KS might have heard thunder earlier as a weak piece of energy was moving through…

You can see the upper jet streak in the Satellite image-

It’s the brighter white area over Eastern KS.

What to expect Easter Sunday-

BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES with Snow over Northern -Northeast areas as another stronger piece of energy moves through.

Snow Totals:

The Snow will begin in Southwest Nebraska after midnight and spread slowly Southeast during the overnight reaching the KC metro by Mid morning – most of the Snow will accumulate on grassy and elevated surfaces EXCEPT for areas in Nebraska where travel troubles are likely along I-80 in West Central areas where Heavy Snow of up to 8″ is possible.

Temps Sunday will be CHILLY- 30s East and 40s West…..

Followed by a Hard Freeze Sunday night:

This will be followed by a BIG WARM UP in Western KS Monday as return flow occurs as the Cold High moves East.

ANOTHER Cold front moves through Tuesday and then again next weekend….not seeing much moisture….Another couple HARD freezes are likely as a blocking pattern is setting up over Eastern Canada shifting the Cold air South into the Northern and Central Plains.

Severe Storms are likely over the Mid South/Southeast this week.

We are seeing this Temperature Rollercoaster through mid April…

Above average days followed by Below average days…with SOME moisture chances possible- not seeing anything significant.
