Good early morning Weather Watchers!

The cool front that moved through last night has moved MUCH FURTHER South than anticipated. The threat for Significant Severe Storms today’s has decreased dramatically for Southern KS- chances still exist later- We will provide details later this morning….

Saturday’s Significant threat is still present….HOWEVER, we are concerned that the CAP may not hold and convection begins early in Western sections of the State.

Still thinking the Significant threat will move East into Central KS, but arriving later in the day Saturday, around the 7pm time frame and the HIGH END threat continuing after dark.

AGAIN, IT APPEARS WE ARE OUT OF THE WOODS TODAY-for significant tornadoes- chances of storms do exist later this evening

HOWEVER-

DO NOT let your guard down for Saturday!

I would like to see how things develop today to our South and watch the Low pressure and dryline begin to take shape today into this evening.

I’m sure you have questions- will be glad to answer them…

We will provide a more detailed description of our thinking later this morning…..
