We have had fires but we came through another potentially catastrophic day fairly unscathed.

WE ARE FINALLY FORECASTING RAIN WITH OUT NEXT STRONG SYSTEM AS IT MOVES THROUGH FAIRLY SLOW LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY MONDAY EVENING.

Let’s look at our forecast maps-

How much Precip can we expect based in THIS track?? Confidence is above average for this system as it is returning – from 1/31-2/1 period.

The system cam through dry that period – with just a wind shift and the Low tracked just to our South.

The Low developed in the Texas Panhandle fairly close to Amarillo.

See the counterclockwise winds? There was a secondary Low in Northeast Kansas close to Manhattan…can you see these features?

Ok – We told you over a month ago to mark your calendars for April 1st…Remember that? We will go back and find that blog –

Look what just showed up for the FIRST TIME ON THE MODELS TODAY??

This system is showing up as a Cold system – we thought we might see Thunderstorms – let’s see how it continues to look over the next couple of weeks… Remember that is Easter Sunday…

Have a good night everyone!

We will likely see additional HIGH RISK FIRE DAYS next week so stay tuned….

ANY QUESTIONS??

Please let us know….
