Thunderstorms tomorrow evening into overnight for Northern/Northeast areas….HOT and HUMID Southern half of the State
Good evening Weather Watchers! Let’s take a look at what is going on. Unfortunately, the Summer pattern is setting up-
Here is what it looks like today.
As we start to head into summer. These upper level winds known at the jet stream will weaken and retreat North.
Storms will likely form early evening into the overnight. The biggest threat at this time appears to be hail and strong winds. Storms will likely stay along the I-70 corridor as
The Heat and Humidity begin to build in Heat Indices reaching 100 are possible across Central/South Central sections.
The CAP or LID will be very strong across the Southern half of the State. The chances for storms is SLIGHT for areas South of Hwy 56.
The Ridge builds back in keeping things warm and humid. A Tropical system is forecast to make landfall across the Texas/Louisiana coast in the next week. It should get picked up in the low level flow and be pushed off to the East by the time it makes in to our area. The stronger these systems are the slower they move.
