Freezing Drizzle is never fun and it doesn’t take much on the sidewalks and roadways to cause problems…

The NAM short term model is showing some very light freezing drizzle in Central KS after midnight tonight increasing along and EAST of the I-135 Corridor where a SHALLOW LAYER OF COLD AIR WILL RESIDE. Warm moist air will be streaming North on top of this airmass- as a piece of energy move West to East

Here is our timeline.

REMEMBER- IF TEMPERATURES ARE 32 degrees or below and you have liquid moisture falling – ROADWAYS and SIDEWALKS COULD BE SLICK AND HAZARDOUS!

The pattern is going to be fairly progressive over the next 8-10+ days.

Systems will be moving quickly across the area with many opportunities for SLICK AND HAZARDOUS ROADWAYS.

We also think this timeframe will be the BEST POSSIBLE TIMEFRAME to experience accumulating Snowfall in the region. The 15th through the 18th for a stronger system is a timeframe we are keeping an eye on.

We will keep you posted.

IF YOU EXPERIENCE TRAVEL TROUBLES OR REPORTS OF FREEZING DRIZZLE… PLEASE LET US KNOW BY POSTING YOUR REPORT
