Roadways will be slick this morning with not much melting occurring as Temps are very cold with WINDCHILLS -10/-20 in many areas.

Advisories expire between 9A-Noon

The significant precipitation has moved out of Kansas to our East and Southeast.

Current Conditions CENTRAL US:

Single Digits in Western KS to 70s out ahead of the front where SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCHES CONTINUE.

Today’s threats for Kansan’s will be VERY COLD WINDS CHILLS-

Skies will clear from West to East.

This was a VERY POWERFUL and DYNAMIC storm!

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Flash Flood Warnings with Temperatures in the 20s last night. We will explain why this happened in a blog later today- it was definitely a storm to remember.

Significant Icing occurred from the KC metro area South and West into Southeast KS.

Olathe received 1/4″ freezing rain plus sleet

The SE Side of KC received 1/2″ of Freezing Rain

Hutchinson received just shy of 1/10th of an inch of Freezing rain followed by Sleet and snow-

Roads will likely be slick and hazardous in spots region wide.
