For those of you that don’t know what a French Toast Watch is- it is basically a Watch that tells you that the grocery stores might become very low on Bread, Eggs and Milk by the end of the week as the potential for a Significant Winter Storm is possible Christmas night (Friday) through Tuesday across the Southern and Central Plains.

Yes, we are a day or so early to be issuing this Watch- but with the Christmas holiday we thought we might have to issue it early as stores will be low on Bread, Eggs and Milk just due to the Holiday.

Models have been all over the place- but are starting to catch on.

The EURO has the storm South and the GFS has had it North.

Based on what we saw come through the last time this system cycled through – our thoughts are that this system becomes Stacked ( upper low on top of the surface low) in Central OK; the storm slows down and strengthens to a significant Winter system with heavy snow, icy mix and strong winds.

Again this is several days out. Our confidence is high based on our long term forecast technique.

Keep in mind we won’t be able to pinpoint snow totals or the exact track of the system – you will have to stay tuned as details become clearer as the week progresses.

Update tomorrow morning….
