Good morning Weather Watchers!
The storm system we have been discussing for a couple of weeks is around 600 miles away from the West Coast.

We should warm up into the mid 60s today even as a cold front pushes through and turns our winds to the North/Northwest. (if you are aching today, this is likely why)

Confidence is HIGH for a significant winter storm here in the Central Plains.

We are confident that this storm will produce heavy snowfall and strong winds with travel troubles likely Monday and Tuesday.

We still need higher confidence on where the Low will track. Right now it is up in the air who will experience the most significant snowfall. The graphic above shows a large area that has potential to receive over 6″ of snow….THIS WILL CHANGE…It just gives you an idea of where the potential exists.. AGAIN- this is a very wide swath that WILL CHANGE… Consider it like they do a hurricane path- this is the path of uncertainty- as the storm gets closer we will be able to narrow down the path.

Additionally, this storm system will likely produce a Severe Weather OUTBREAK on the Warm side of the storm Monday night and especially Tuesday….This will be a BIG part of the story with this storm.

Please stay tuned Weather Watchers….

We will provide you with an update later today.
