As a follow-up to our post last evening, how many of you need long term forecasting?

If you need it, where do you go to find it?

Most forecasts 3-5 days have a reliability factor of 50-60%. When it comes to 5-7 day forecasts that reliability drop to around 30%.

If you are a farmer, what do you do now for long term forecasts?  Do you use the Farmers almanac? Pay for private forecasts? How do you use weather to your advantage?

If you are are in a non-agricultural business,  how does weather affect your business? Do you rely on special forecasting to provide you an edge in your business?

Please let us know HOW WEATHER AFFECTS YOUR BUSINESS
