Good evening Weather Watchers. Taking a look at the latest runs of the GFS and NAM models for Friday’s  Severe Weather event- The NAM keeps the Warm front to our South along the OK border where the GFS takes the Warm front North to the I-70 corridor.

The areas circled in Purple would be the areas likely to see Severe Weather based on current model runs.

We do think the current target area for the most significant Severe Weather will move South of where the SPC has it currently placed.

Here is where the front is located currently- along the Red River.

We need that front to begin its trek North and bring with it some moist dewpoints –

The Severe Outlook will be updated overnight – we will post it first thing in the morning.

Monday looks like a VERY wet day as a closed low moves slowly South of us – here are anticipated rain totals…

The signals the models are putting out are showing 1-3 inches of rain with this system. NO SEVERE WEATHER MONDAY- just needed rainfall.

Good night-

Check in tomorrow morning –
