Here in Kansas our normal temperatures this time of year are Highs in the low 40s, lows in the upper teens to mid 20s.

This climate is something I have never seen in my lifetime. Highs in the 60s to 70 for long periods.

Texas could see upper 80s to around 90 by the end of the week!
Buffalo, NY hasn’t seen an inch of snow this season- they are a City that receives close to 100″ a year due to lake effect snow. Buffalo Bill fans were wearing shorts to yesterday’s NFL game, something you would see in Miami but Buffalo???

This weather pattern has bottled up the cold air North of the border in Canada and it looks to continue for some time.

As we enter the active pattern period, later in the month, will we see any of that cold air filter South or will we see shallow layers of cold air with the potential for rain/ICE set-ups? Looks like shallow Cold air based on the CPCs prediction:

Models are still all over the place with little consistency.

That should start to change this week with the beginning of our predicted pattern change next week.

The latest models show several storm systems in a row affecting the Central Plains-through the end of the month.
