Hello Weather Watchers!

After some IMPORTANT UPDATES we are BACK LIVE!!

Let’s take a look at an interesting set up we are seeing TODAY!

Will we see a Thunderstorm or 2 form along the Warm front in Northern Kansas?

Let’s see what’s going on:

Current conditions

The area that Storms COULD form are along the area in Purple called the Triple Point – right along a warm front with a decent area of Low pressure that will provide decent lift and a trigger

See the brown broken line? That is a dry line- it separates dry air to the West to modest moist air to the East that Southeast winds have been streaming NW towards the area of Low Pressure.

Let’s watch that area close between now and 9pm for a couple STRONG to Severe updrafts. Our friends in Smith Center and Concordia- keep us posted.

THE SPC HAS ISSUED A SLIGHT RISK FOR A SEVERE STORM!

Look at the 90s in SW Kansas!! WOW!! A cold front will be coming through tonight cooling us down for Saturday into Sunday before the Cold front that moves through moves back North as a Warm front giving some a chance for Thunderstorms Sunday evening into the overnight.

Here are the current Regional Threats- High Wind Warning for NW Kansas ( behind the Low ) with winds gusting to 60mph

Let’s watch to see if we can get a storm or two to develop along the Warm front-

More details later about moisture chances over the Eastern half of the State early next week…
