Good afternoon Weather Watchers!

What a beautiful sunrise!!

The Winter storm that will be affecting Kansas Monday into Tuesday will finally be making landfall tomorrow afternoon in Southern CA. It will provide us with more data after sampling the system.

The last several runs have trended the Storm track more North than what models were showing initially. This is exactly why we have said all along THINGS WILL CHANGE.

Currently the areas to experience the most Significant Weather appear to be from West Central/Northwest KS , East/Northeast through North Central KS into Southeast Nebraska.

This is the European model, hot off the press, it provides you a good idea of the track that we feel comfortable with- it might be a bit to far North SO AGAIN– DO NOT THINK THIS IS GOSPEL by any means- we think it should be close.

Here is the most recent GFS:

You will likely notice that there is a sharp gradient from those who see snow and those who don’t. That is due to a temperature gradient.

Here is the precipitation outlook as the areas South and east will see rain and likely a mix IF CURRENT TRENDS HOLD.

Strong North winds will occur on the back side of the Low as it moves Northeast. Could see gusts around 45 mph with sustained winds around 25.

THE STORM IS STILL 3 days out and THE TRACK WILL LIKELY CHANGE SOME.

Stay tuned….
