Good late evening Weather Watchers….

…THE SITUATION IS CHANGING FOR EAST CENTRAL KANSAS…

We alluded to it in our earlier forecast – and area of HEAVY FREEZING RAIN looked likely to us –

It looks like it will come to fruition along with STRONG South Winds gusting to 30mph!

If this event develops – those in East Central KANSAS including the Flint Hills WILL LIKELY experience Power Outages….

This WARNING could be expanded depending on temperature profiles between 3AM and 8AM…We will keep an eye on it for you.

Convective Freezing Rain is occurring in the TX/OK Panhandle and is moving NE…

PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING.

Currents:

Remember why some of you will get sleet and some will get freezing rain…

We are not expecting much snow with this system in the Sunflower State…the better thermal profiles for snow are across Eastern NE.

We will actually warm up above freezing as a warm front moves ENE through the State- the big question is when…. our current thoughts are 10a-Noon, when it will be along the Turnpike corridor..

Stay tuned!!
