Good morning Weather Watchers!

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Northern 3/4 of the State of Kansas from Midnight tonight until 6pm Thursday!

Tonight through 6PM Thurs

Expect snow to develop in NW sections of Kansas and expand South and East with the axis of Heavy snow circled:

Roadways will likely become slick and hazardous especially over Western & Central areas.

Cold air will filter in BEHIND this system as our seasons first real piece of Arctic Air moves in Friday night. Expect lows Friday night/Saturday morning in the mid teens North and East and 20s over the rest of the State- except for far SW Kansas where temps will be around 30.

This is Thurs night…see that area of VERY COLD air in Southern Canada?? It will modify as it moves South… but still be our first piece of true Arctic Air. ( Hint, Hint – Mark this down as it will return)

Another shot of Cold air moves in Sunday…with chances of LIGHT SNOW West & Central Sunday afternoon… Not expecting any accumulation…

COLD AIR looks to stick around before return flow sets up a week from today, which will bring us warmer temperatures.

Have a great day!
